Dear Families,
The big day is here; we are traveling to Yankee Stadium
tomorrow! Here are some guidelines to follow:
Dress
-
All students may dress down. Students you know the rules.
Dress properly to avoid consequences.
-
JEWELRY code remains the same; with one exception, you may
wear Yankee jewelry if you have it. Hoop earrings are never
permitted.
-
Wear your Yankee gear if you have it.
-
Jeans are permitted – ladies be sure they are not too tight,
gentlemen be sure they are not too baggy.
-
SNEAKERS should be worn – no heels, no sandals, no Crocs, no
slip-ons of any kind, they pose tripping hazards while
walking and climbing stairs.
-
Bring a jacket or sweatshirt (hooded is best) and/or rain
poncho in case of rain.
-
Hats /sunscreen.
Schedule
-
“Brunch” in classrooms at 10:00. (Students provide food)
-
Chaperones will meet in the cafeteria at 10:30. Ms. Harten
will offer guidelines to all.
-
Buses will depart at 11:00.
-
Dismissal for students not attending the trip will be at
11:30.
-
In the worst case scenario and the game is rained out,
dismissal will remain at 11:30 for ALL. Please be prepared
to meet your child at that time.
-
Game time is 1:05. The game should last at least 3 hours.
-
Approximate return to school is between 5:00 and 5:30.
Please plan to be at the school at that time. If we
anticipate a change of time, a parent or teacher will try to
call each parent when we are on the bus. If your child has a
cell phone, they will be permitted to call you when we are
leaving.

No After Care.
Food
-
NO GUM at any
time!
-
No eating on the bus. Adults are asked to comply with this
directive also.
-
Brunch in homerooms at 10:00. Students should bring food for
this meal with them. There will be no cafeteria service
available.
-
Small lunch bags for the trip are permitted.
-
Students will be allowed to access vendors either at their
seats or at concession stands.
-
No student will be permitted to access a concession stand
without being accompanied by an adult. Chaperones will work
out these details with their groups.
Miscellaneous
-
Nurse McDonnell will be traveling with us.
-
All students must travel to the stadium on the bus.
-
If a parent is meeting us at the stadium, please let Mrs.
Campion know first thing in the morning. If your child will
return home with you, a note must be received in the office
on Thursday morning.
-
Cell phones are permitted, but must be turned off. Students
will be permitted to call parents when given permission by
an adult.
-
NO Backpacks of any kind are permitted in the stadium.
-
Students are permitted to bring money. Please put it in an
envelope with their name on it.
-
Cameras are permitted. We suggest disposable ones.
-
No electronics other than phones. (no iPods, no games, etc.)
-
Please remember we will not be responsible for lost
valuables. Also be sure your child can be responsible for
anything they bring – if they can’t be – don’t send it!
-
No student (any grade) will be permitted to use the
bathrooms unaccompanied by an adult.
-
Please note that play practice for Thursday evening is
cancelled due to the Yankee Game.
Please review these guidelines with your child.
If everyone follows the rules, we will enjoy a safe and happy
trip!
