The ABC ( After/Before
Care) program at ICS provides students with care between
7:30 and 8:10AM, and an after care program for students who
cannot be picked up until 6:00PM. The after care program offers
students homework help and recreational activities. There is
also a drop-in program provided for children of parents who
cannot be at school in case of another appointment or emergency.
All these programs are available to parents at additional cost.
A full time nurse
is in attendance. She administers medication as needed as well
as vision, hearing, weight, height, and scoliosis screenings.
She also maintains medical and immunization records.
A Resource Room is available to students in grades 3 to 8.
The D.A.R.E.
program is offered to fifth graders. A police officer presents,
in a series of one-hour discussions, the facts about drug
awareness and prevention. A Stranger Safety Program is presented
to Kindergarten and first graders.
The hot lunch program
provides students with the opportunity to buy lunch on a daily
basis at a minimum cost. This program is run by Aramark school
services.
The Home School
Association is a group of dedicated parents which
promotes parent participation in social and educational
activities throughout the school year.
Transportation to school is provided for students
who live in the immediate area. Private buses are rented by
parents who live out of district. The majority of students are
driven to the school by parents.
ADAPP is the
Archdiocesan Drug Abuse Prevention Program which provides
students and parents with special programs regarding drugs,
alcohol and current issues facing our children.
