• If a student is going to be absent from school, a parent must call the school office (914) 961-3785 before 8:00 AM.
• Students who are absent from school for any reason cannot participate in any after school activity, sporting event, practice etc. on the day that classes have been missed.
• On the day the student returns to school, he/she must have an absent note stating the reason for the absence.
• If a note is not handed in, an illegal absence will be recorded.
• Excessive unexcused absences will be reported to the New York State Bureau of Attendance.
• Doctor's or dental appointments should be scheduled after school hours or on day when school is NOT in session.
• In case of EMERGENCY, if a student must leave school early, a note should be brought in to the teacher who will send it to the
  Principal's Office for approval.
• A child may leave school early only if accompanied by an authorized ADULT who should report to the office to sign the student's release.
• A student is never allowed to leave alone during the school day.
