Dear Parents and Guardians,

For most people, May is a happy month. The parks and countryside offer us flowers and rich, green grass and leaves. We bring flowerer to decorate “May altars” we have prepared to honor Mary, the Mother of God. For some it is time for Confirmation and First Communion. God’s message of resurrection and new life abounds. There are many reasons to sing “Alleluia!” May is generous with days of celebration; Ascension Thursday Pastor’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, the Yankee Game, First Holy Communion Mother’s Day, “The Best of Broadway”, the May Crowning, Memorial Day, Carnival and of course ‘Snow Days’! Many activities fill our May calendar. Be sure to keep it handy so you don’t miss any of the special events.


We welcome Father Kevin Malick to Immaculate Conception. As I write this, Father Malick has already been to school twice to visit our students and staff. We are very glad that he has joined our school and parish community.

The deadline for ordering from Original Art Works has been extended until May 7th. If you have not yet sent in your order now is the time to send it! Don’ miss out on this opportunity.

Our popular Plant Sale takes place this weekend. Be sure to stop by the lower church to take advantage of this sale.

On Sunday, May 4th we are hosting an Alumni reunion for Immaculate Conception and Our Lady of the Assumption Schools. We welcome graduates, parishioners and friends to our 12 noon Mass followed by Open House and refreshments in the school. Stop by to take a trip down memory lane and catch up with old friends.
